The Instagram profile that for a long time threatened dozens of underage girls from the city of Korça with the publication of intimate videos and photos was managed by two girls.

Their identification was made possible by the Korça police after numerous complaints from the families of the blackmailed girls.

Even the two girls who managed this profile and denigrated their peers are minors.

"Based on information regarding the Instagram page where intimate photos, videos and derogatory information about teenagers were published, it is learned that the police have managed to identify two girls who are suspected of being responsible for this page. Further measures are expected to be taken by the police for the two minor girls," the police statement said.

The scandal was reported in the media after allegations that authorities were not taking action and the Instagram profile remained open. Some of the underage girls whose photos were published reportedly attempted suicide.
