Elon Musk announced that a wireless device created by his brain chip company Neuralink will begin human tests within 6 months.
The company is developing brain chips that it says could help disabled patients move and communicate again. "Reuters" reports that in recent years, Neuralink has conducted tests on animals as it needs an approval from the US regulation to move to humans.
"We've been working hard to be ready for our first human and we want to be very careful and confident that it's going to work before we implement it, but we've submitted I believe most of our work to the FDA and I think within In 6 months we will be able to have our first Neuralink in a human," said Musk.
The latest presentation from Neuralink is from last year where a monkey could play a computer game thanks to the thoughts only from the chip in the brain.
