Jennifer Lopez and her longtime love, actor Ben Affleck, tied the knot this summer after rekindling their romance last year.

The singer, who recently announced the follow-up to the album in which she sang about their love twenty years ago, has recalled the period after their long separation.

She said that then, until their reconciliation, she refused to sing songs from her album.

"It was so painful when we broke up. When we called off that wedding 20 years ago, my heart broke like never before. Honestly, I thought I was going to die," said the singer in a recent interview for Apple Music.

Her song "I'm Glad", from that album, tells about the beginning of her romance with Affleck, and Ben also appeared in the music video for the song "Jenny from the Block", reports Yahoo Entertainment.

Unfortunately, a few months after the album's release, the couple broke up, but reunited last year.
