It is one of Parashqevi Simaku's most famous songs, winner of the 27th festival in 1988.
It is about the melodious song "E duam lumturinë", where Simaku shone on the stage of the RTSH festival together with the children's choir, and was also declared the winning song.
This song has been trending on YouTube for more than 9 years, uploaded to an unofficial channel, with a full 5.5 million clicks, with many returning time and time again to listen to it.
Over 200 thousand clicks were added to the song in the last week alone, thanks to the great interest that the news about the singer sparked in the US.
It is difficult to say that Parashqevi Simaku has ever benefited monetarily from her songs.
But recently something strange has happened with the song "E duam lumturinë". The old version with millions of clicks has been deleted from YouTube, while the song was re-released a day ago, amid increased interest in Parashqevi Simaku, by Pirro Çako's official channel.
The rights to the song appear to be now being managed by the company “FOLÉ PUBLISHING”. It is worth noting that Pirro Çako is the composer of this song with lyrics by the late poet Agim Doçi.
Also, many songs from Parashqevi Simaku's latest album, some previously unheard, have recently been uploaded to YouTube, by a channel that likely does not have the rights to publish them, apparently taking advantage of the moment to monetize them.
