Emotional moments for a family in Heraklion where a grandmother, 55, has become a 'surrogate mother' for the sake of her daughter, giving birth to a healthy boy.

This is one of the rare cases in Greece and around the world.

The event was announced by the gynecologist-obstetrician of the "surrogate grandmother" through a post on social networks.

The first embryo transfer attempt, the doctor reports, failed, but the second embryo transfer was successful.

The grandmother achieved her goal after following exactly what the doctors had recommended.

"It was very difficult, but in the end we succeeded", he says, adding:

' 'Grandma was a female soldier. She followed exactly what we said and we finally achieved our goal. A 3500-gram boy was born ," writes the obstetrician, among other things, in his post.
