The most popular German car brand comes from Ingolstadt: according to the new car ranking of the market research company YouGov, Audi comes out on top with a score of 23.7 points.

In second place is the premium manufacturer Mercedes-Benz with 23.4 points. Volkswagen, which is currently suffering from bad business, is in third place with 22.6 points, even ahead of BMW, which is in 4th place with 22.4 points.

However, it should be noted that the first four places are separated by very few points from each other.

Only from the fifth place comes the foreign manufacturer Skoda, which, however, belongs to the Volkswagen group. Followed by Toyota in 6th place and Volvo in 7th place is another German manufacturer in eighth place, Porsche. Opel and Ford complete the top ten, writes the German portal Chip.

Men prefer Audi, while women prefer Volkswagen more.

Older Germans choose Mercedes-Benz as the ranking winner, while Audi remains the number one brand for the middle generation.

For the ranking, market researchers used online interviews that are representative of the German population aged 18 and over. This included six evaluation dimensions: overall impression, quality, value for money, customer satisfaction, as well as willingness to recommend and employer image. At least 300 reviews per brand had to be submitted.
