American B-2 bombers have left America, heading West, as US President Donald Trump has stated that he will need 2 weeks to decide whether to join the attack on Iran, giving a diplomatic solution a chance.

According to flight tracking data, at least four aircraft took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on Saturday morning, accompanied by four refueling planes.

They appeared to be heading west toward the US Naval Base in Guam in the Pacific Ocean. From there, they could head to the US base on Diego Garcia, in the Chagos Islands, which is within striking distance of Iran.

The B-2 is the only aircraft capable of carrying the "Massive Ordnance Penetrator" precision-guided bunker buster that could be used to target Iran's underground nuclear facility at Fordow.

Situated 90 meters inside a mountain, the Fordow enrichment plant is one of three major parts of Iran's nuclear infrastructure, along with the Natanz enrichment plant and research facilities in Isfahan.

The American B-2 bomber is thought to cost $2.1 billion, making it the most expensive military aircraft ever built.

On Thursday, Donald Trump said that the decision on whether to attack Iran would be made "within the next two weeks."
