The two girls from Peja, EB and LN, who were reported missing about a week ago, were found on Friday night. 

This is what the former Egyptian deputy, Veton Berisha, announced through a post on Facebook, where he said that they were found alive and were presented at the police station in Peja.

" The girls who disappeared a week ago, EB and LN, have been found alive and have appeared at the police station in Peja, where we are present with them! Thank you to all of you who helped throughout this difficult process we had ," he wrote.

The Kosovo police said that they left their homes of their own accord and have stayed in an uninhabited house in the village of Qungur i Pejë until today.

Pejë Regional Police Directorate - Police Station in Pejë, on 24.09.2022, the family members of the victims were presented, who declare that their daughters left their homes in the village of Trebović and the village of Qyshk, municipality of Pejë on 23.09.2022 around 07:00, and according to the witnesses, they continued to go to the faculty together, but since that time they have not been notified and have not had access to their phones.

The relevant units from the Regional Police Directorate in Peja immediately took the necessary measures to find the girls reported missing.

During the intensive operational-investigative work, today on 01.10.2022, after a received information, the location of the victims was located, they were brought to the Police Station in Pejë, by a citizen who was stopped on the street.

The victims declare that they are in good health, and have not suffered any ill-treatment, they were also checked by the attending physician, they declare that they left their homes of their own accord and until today have stayed in an uninhabited house in the village Qungur-Pejo.

Regarding the case, the State Prosecutor, as well as the official for social work, were notified.

After interviewing the victims by the investigators of the Regional Investigation Sector DRP - Pejë, they declare that they do not want to return to their homes and in cooperation with the social work officer, the two girls have been placed in a safe house.
