Trump calls Gaza Peace Board, here's where the meeting is expected to be
Peace Board

The Gaza Peace Board, created by US President Donald Trump to oversee the reconstruction and governance of the Gaza Strip, will hold an important meeting in Cyprus on June 30, with the aim of reviewing and adapting its strategy following recent developments in the Middle East.

According to POLITICO, the meeting will last two to three days and aims to "reset the focus" of the board, as the war between Israel and Iran has shifted international attention from Gaza in recent months.

The meeting is expected to be attended by representatives of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, a body of Palestinian technocrats created to replace Hamas in administering the territory, as well as representatives from the office of Nikolai Mladenov, the former Bulgarian diplomat appointed by Trump as his special envoy for Gaza.

Cyprus will participate as an observer. According to European officials, the Mediterranean island was selected by the executive committee as the host of the meeting and has no organizational or political role in the process.

The Peace Board held its first meeting in February of this year.
