Trump: I'm willing to meet with Iran's leader if they make a deal

President Donald Trump said he was open to meeting with Iran's new supreme leader if a deal is reached to end the war.

"I don't want to meet. But if I did, I would be honored to meet him. I would like to see if we can make a deal, but if we can make a deal, it's possible that I could meet him. I would be happy to do that," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

Asked if such a meeting could take place in the United States, Trump said: "I haven't heard much about it. I didn't suggest it, but some people have suggested it."

Trump said he would be respectful in any meeting with the supreme leader.

"I would say I'm not his favorite person, but having said that, he's probably a professional," Trump said, adding that "in some circles he actually has a very good reputation."
