A teenage girl has been gang-raped by 12 minors aged between 11 and 16, in a case that has shocked Belgium.

According to local media, the 14-year-old girl was abused by a group of boys on 3 occasions, from April 2 to 6.

The main suspect, the girl's boyfriend, is believed to have taken his girlfriend to a forest in Kortrijk and raped her there in front of his friends. Afterwards, he gave a "debt" to those to sexually abuse him, while the youngest, an 11-year-old boy, was left to act as a guard.

The police have arrested 10 minors so far, all of African origin.

After the abuse, the prosecutors said that the boyfriend sent the girl two more times to the scene of the crime, where she was abused again by the boys. According to the prosecutors, "who less and who more", all sexually abused the 14-year-old.

According to the police, the boys even recorded the rape on their cell phones, with the videos later shared on Snapchat.
