Eight hostages to be released immediately, what the draft agreement for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza foresees

Eight hostages will be released on the first day of the ceasefire, while two others will be released on the 50th day. This is stipulated in the draft agreement prepared by Qatar, based on the proposal of US envoy Steve Witkoff, according to what the Israeli newspaper Haaretz writes, which has seen a copy of the document.

As for the return of the bodies of the killed hostages, the document envisages a phased process: five bodies will be handed over on the seventh day of the ceasefire, another five on the 30th day and the last, eight bodies, on the 60th day.

According to this agreement, it is expected that US President Donald Trump will officially announce the achievement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

"The United States and President Trump are committed to working to ensure that negotiations continue in good faith until a final agreement is reached," the document states.

"The President is serious about the parties' commitment to the ceasefire agreement and insists that negotiations during the temporary ceasefire conclude successfully with an agreement between the parties," it further emphasizes.
