Although Tehran has apologized to its neighbors for the missile attacks, strikes on Gulf states continue. The United Arab Emirates said it had intercepted 15 ballistic missiles and 119 drones on Saturday, while Dubai airport, the world's busiest, temporarily suspended all operations after an airstrike alert and a reported explosion. Sirens were sounded in Bahrain for possible attacks, prompting residents to seek safety.

Kuwait's National Guard said it had shot down a drone, a day after the Defense Ministry said its air defenses shot down 12 Iranian drones and 14 missiles in the south, while the National Oil Company announced production cuts. Jordan accused Iran of directly targeting critical areas, launching 119 missiles and drones during a week of war.

In Iran, Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced that its forces had hit a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker in the Persian Gulf, while earlier it had hit another vessel trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a key point for global shipping.

Following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Iranian ayatollahs are calling for the speedy announcement of a new supreme leader.
