Middle East War: Turkey Deploys F-16 Military Jets to Cyprus?

Turkey is considering the possibility of deploying F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to the island of Cyprus, sources from the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"In light of recent developments, phased plans are being drawn up to ensure the security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The deployment of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft to the island is one of the issues being assessed," the sources said.

A source from the Turkish Defense Ministry said that the deployment of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft to Cyprus is one of the steps being considered as part of planning to ensure the defense of the Turkish Cypriot state in the north of the island.
