The majority of British citizens are not interested in the coronation of King Charles, although many said they would watch the event or attend similar celebrations, according to a poll conducted by "YouGov".
The survey was conducted this month with the participation of over 3,000 citizens, 35% said that they do not care much about the historic event, while 29% of them said that they do not care at all.
About 24% of respondents said they are very little interested, while only 9% said they are very interested.
Despite this, a significant proportion of them, 46%, said they might watch the coronation or attend similar celebrations.
Coronation apathy is particularly high among younger age groups, with 75% of 18- to 24-year-olds saying they don't care much or at all about the event, and 69% of 25- to 49-year-olds responding the same way.
Even among the over-65s, the most pro-royal demographic, 53% said they didn't care much or at all.
The symbolic religious ceremony, during which Charles will be officially crowned king, will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in central London.
