SCANDAL/ 38-year-old British woman is left naked in the cell, accuses the police
Zayna Iman, 38 years old

Manchester police in Great Britain have become part of a scandal, after a woman has accused law enforcement officers of sexually assaulting her after stripping her and leaving her topless in a cell for hours, foreign media write.

Her claim of sexual abuse is backed by medical records showing evidence of sexual injuries Zayna Iman, 38, has spoken out against Manchester police after a 40-hour ordeal at the city's main police station.

She is seeking answers about what happened the night she was arrested, as well as access to security camera footage, about three hours of footage that is allegedly missing.

Former GMP chief Martin Harding has backed her claims of her treatment as credible after seeing the footage made available.

Also, medical records have suggested that she suffered sexual injuries the night she was handcuffed, because she resisted a female officer during the search of the apartment by knocking her glasses off her face.
