Gurkan Ozturk, 19, was rescued from a collapsed five-story building in the Turkish city of Hatay, 63 hours after the earthquake.
The young Turkish man recorded the hours he spent under the rubble with his cell phone at his grandfather's house in Antakya, where he had gone to study, at the time of the earthquake on February 6.
Ozturk recorded with his phone the moments spent in the small space that allowed him to survive.
" Friends, it was almost 40 minutes in, I think I managed to make a gap where the legs are, I dug with the tip of my hand and filled the gap with stones so that it does not collapse. I feel the cold air from below, I think I made a hole through which I can get oxygen.
Let's see if we can survive this earthquake? If I survive this earthquake I think I will appreciate things in life better. There are still many people to love. I love you all very much, especially mom, dad, brothers.
Have no fear, I hope you are not upset. I don't know what's going on out there, but I hope there's no big trouble. Maybe it's just something with some old buildings ," Ozturk said moments after he felt the aftershocks under the rubble.
