Robert F Kennedy Jr, the 69-year-old member of the famous American political dynasty and icon of the anti-vaccine movement, has submitted documents to run for president in the 2024 elections. Foreign media write that the news was confirmed by his campaign secretary, John E Sullivan.
The 69-year-old is the son of former New York Senator Robert F Kennedy and the grandson of President John F Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated while in office.
Kennedy Jr. has promoted discredited claims linking vaccines and autism and founded the anti-vaccine organization Children's Health Defense. He has also been criticized for speaking out against the coronavirus vaccine and criticizing the federal government's handling of the pandemic.
