The European Union has reacted regarding the recent actions of the Government of Kosovo. In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the EU, Peter Stano, it is said that the EU is concerned with the operations of the Kosovo Police during this week in the offices of institutions run by Serbia in the municipalities of Dragash, Pejë, Istog and Klinë.

Stano has said that the EU is also concerned with the operation that took place in the facility of the non-governmental organization Center for Peace and Tolerance in Pristina. He added that the EU asks Kosovo to avoid unilateral actions that could increase tensions.

"Therefore, the EU asks Kosovo to avoid unilateral actions that could increase tensions and to address these issues through the Dialogue facilitated by the EU," said Stano.

The EU spokesperson added that the sudden closure of these offices will have negative effects on the daily life and living conditions of the Kosovo Serb community.

"The status of these structures is expected to be resolved in the Dialogue facilitated by the EU, regarding the establishment of the Association/Community of municipalities with a Serbian majority", said Stano.
