"Five people have been confirmed shot. This is currently being treated as attempted murder, arson and aggravated assault with a weapon," Swedish police previously reported.
Later, Swedish police issued a statement saying that at least ten people had lost their lives in the successive gunshots.
The head of the Orebro police district has stated that they are in the process of identifying the bodies, while not providing further details about them.
From the checks so far, the authorities do not have an exact number of injured, as the city hospital is in a state of emergency, where four people have been admitted to the operating room after serious injuries to their bodies.
The police locked down nearby school students for several hours, as there were suspicions that the perpetrator might have had accomplices, but that did not turn out to be the case.
The situation of violence in Oredro, a city of 155,000 inhabitants, has worsened significantly in recent years, as such cases are recurring. Unfortunately, this time there were also victims.
