The trial for the former leaders of the KLA starts today
Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi

In the Special Court, the trial begins today against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, whom the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor claims have committed war crimes.

After a long pre-trial procedure, for almost 3 years, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi will appear before the court.

The indictment against them was confirmed in November 2020 to be amended on September 3, 2021, April 29 and September 30, 2022.

While the version of the indictment with subsequent edits, which is currently in force, was submitted in February of this year.
