Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that Israel will decide for itself how to respond to attacks carried out by Iran over the weekend.
Netanyahu made the statements after a meeting with the foreign ministers of Great Britain and Germany today, as well as after speaking with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Tuesday.
"I thank our friends for their support and for defending Israel. They also gave me a number of tips and suggestions, which I appreciate, but I must make it very clear: we will make our own decisions and that the State of Israel will do whatever is necessary to protect himself", declared the Israeli Prime Minister.
As for the situation in Gaza, Netanyahu declared that the government will approve a plan for the rehabilitation of the settlements surrounding the Strip at a cost of about 5 billion dollars.
"We will invest in housing, infrastructure, education, employment, healthcare and more. Hamas terrorists wanted to uproot us, but we will uproot them," Netanyahu concluded.
Meanwhile, the prime minister's office said that local communities will work with government ministries and together with the business sector and philanthropy to make the region a "vital, thriving and attractive area".
