"I like him, he's a good person, but he wasn't with us" -

United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he likes Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, but criticized her for her stance during the conflict with Iran.

"I like him, he's a good person, but he wasn't with us on Iran," Trump said during a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara.

Trump and Meloni had previously built a close political relationship. However, after the conflict with Iran, the US president has made some critical comments towards her.

Recently, he published a video on his Truth Social platform where Meloni was seen looking up at him, accompanied by the caption: "Restraining order needed."

So far, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has not publicly reacted to Trump's statements.
