An unusual event happened in the city of Crotone in Italy. A priest together with a group of young believers, dressed in bathing suits and chambermaids, held Sunday Mass under the water of the Ionian Sea on the Calabrian coast.

The priest Mattia Bernasconi from Milan who was in Crotone together with a group of young volunteers who work with the association that manages the properties confiscated by the mafia, celebrated the holy mass on the coast of Crotone and under the crystal water of Alfieri beach.

Altar has served a sea mattress. The images that have made the rounds on social networks have been taken over and by the police authorities it has led the Prosecutor's Office of Kroton to denounce the priest Mattia Bernasconi for insulting the religious confession.

"The high temperatures and no pen around to protect from the sun pushed me to take the decision to hold the Sunday Mass at sea", is the defense of the Priest who adds that "I did not want to trivialize the rite religious nor the messages and words of God during the mass."

This act was not liked even by the Curia of Crotone, which emphasized that the Sunday mass has a special language and behavior that should be appreciated and should not be superficial.

"Pay attention to the ritual and the symbols it requires!".
