"War games" - Britain simulates drone strike on St. Petersburg in NATO

The British armed forces have conducted a NATO exercise in Estonia, where they simulated long-range drone strikes against targets in the St. Petersburg area, the city where Russian President Vladimir Putin was born.

According to The Sun, the British military is intensifying preparations for possible confrontation scenarios with Russia, testing new Nyan missile drones during maneuvers.

These drones have a range of approximately 250 kilometers and are designed to strike strategic targets such as fuel depots, ammunition depots, and military command centers.

The exercise took place at the Tapa military base in Estonia, about 250 kilometers as the crow flies from St. Petersburg. The region also includes the Russian strategic naval base of Kronstadt and the Levashovo military air base.

"During the exercise we tested whether the drone could fly from here to St. Petersburg. It all depends on the air defense and electronic warfare of the opponent, which would determine the way of maneuvering," said a British military official, quoted by The Sun.

According to the report, the Nyan drones will replace a company of Challenger 2 tanks, which have been deployed in Estonia for the past ten years, reflecting the shift in military strategy towards the wider use of unmanned systems.
