Slovakia's Prime Minister Threatens Zelensky: Release Russian Gas or We
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico

The interruption of Russian gas transit from Kiev could cause a serious conflict between Ukraine and Slovakia, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has said.

"If Zelensky doesn't let us off the hook, a serious conflict could arise," Fico wrote on his page on one of the social networks.

According to him, Slovakia offers assistance to Ukraine, so Bratislava expects the same attitude from Kiev.

"Why should only our share go there? Why can't there be some kind of solidarity with us? What is this?" he asked.

Recall that Kiev will not extend the contract for the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory, which expires this year. This poses serious problems for a number of EU countries, including Slovakia.
