The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, announced that he had an "open and difficult" conversation with the new head of diplomacy of the European Union, Kaja Kallas.
Vucic wrote on Instagram that Kallas spoke about the necessity of dialogue with Kosovo, "the resolution of the Banjska case and the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation".
"I responded in accordance with the politics and interests of Serbia," said Vučić.
The meetings of the new head of EU diplomacy with the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia are held a few days after an explosion in a water channel in Zubin Potok, Kosovo.
Kosovo has blamed Serbia for the explosion, but Belgrade has denied involvement and said it will investigate the case. Kallas, who began her five-year term on December 1, will mediate the dialogue process, which began in 2011.
