'We are scared'/ The shocking testimony of the 21-year-old: I was

A criminal proceeding has been launched against a priest in Italy accused of abuse. " I was raped from the age of 9 to the age of 18 ", this is the shocking confession of a 21-year-old man to the Syracuse police.

The boy has pointed the finger at a parish priest in his hometown, Francofonte, and accused of continuous sexual abuse during his growing up years, the Bishop has already launched an internal investigation and forwarded the file to Rome.

" We are scared, the Francofonte community is shocked. I invite the prosecutor to clarify the matter, trusting the Justice and the bishop for a clear position on this matter ".

Thus the mayor of Francofonte Daniele Lentini wanted to show closeness and solidarity with the young fellow citizen who filed the complaint. The priest, now retired, is a resident of the Diocese of Syracuse without any duties./TG Com
