Oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovky has stated that the end of the era of Vladimir Putin as the head of the Kremlin could be decided in 5 years, depending on external factors such as Ukraine's victory in the war or the decisive influence that the West can have on its alliance with Ukraine.

At the launch of his latest book, Khodorkovky said: "The book revolves around what should be done if the Putin era ends in the next five years and I see a real option for that depending on the successes of Ukraine and the commitment of the West in Ukraine ".

He explained that an internal revolution in the form of a coup could arise in Russian society, but again placed responsibility on the West for Russia's long-term policy: "The revolution must come from within Russia, either from the security apparatus or from the military, we don't know who will do it. But the West will be decisive for what comes next. It will take two or three years. Who can the West talk to then? Either Putin will be replaced by another personality or the regions and their governments will form an interim government."

Mikhail Khodorkovky also spoke about the conflict that currently exists between Russia and Ukraine, leaving the responsibility of stopping the war in Putin's hands: "Today, Putin may be ready to negotiate and may even stop the war."
