Iran warns of changes in Hormuz: It will never be like before the war

Iranian chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that "the management of the Strait of Hormuz will never return to the way it was before the war," adding that, although international norms will be respected, Iran will have a direct role in the administration of this strategic area.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most important energy points in the world, as a large portion of global oil passes through it, and any tension in this area immediately affects international energy markets.

At the same time, diplomatic tensions are rising after Ghalibaf also stated that an agreement has been reached between Iran and the US to release $12 billion in frozen Iranian funds.

According to reports by Al Jazeera and other regional media, the funds will be released in two installments of $6 billion.
