The Special Court has upheld the security measure of "prison arrest" previously issued in absentia for Sajmir Kolaverin today, June 7th.

He was extradited the day before from Italy, after being wanted for suspicions of being involved in the murder and disappearance of Klevis Lleshi's body in 2020 in Burrel.

Kolaveri is suspected of the criminal offenses of "blood feud murder", "hiding or disposing of a corpse", structured criminal group, commission of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization.

Kolaveri is a relative of AH, also wanted for suspicion of ordering the murder of Klevis Lleshi.

During the hearing, Sajmir Kolaveri denied the prosecution's accusations, claiming that he had no connection to the incident.

According to the investigation, the 44-year-old is suspected of collaborating with other members of the criminal group on August 5, 2020, to murder Klevis Lleshi. After the execution, he is also suspected of participating in the transportation and burial of the body in the village of Shpërdhet, Mamurras, with the aim of concealing the crime.
