Kosovar footballer Fatjon Bunjaku has tragically passed away at the age of 22, as a result of a road accident on the Pristina-Mitrovicë axis.

The news was announced by the Samadrajxhe village website, which confirmed the young man's death through an announcement.

"Fatjon Fatmir Bunjaku has tragically passed away. Dear fellow villagers, we inform you that Fatjon Fatmir Bunjaku passed away last night in a tragic accident. We will inform you in time about the day and time of the funeral. On behalf of all the residents of the village, we express our condolences to the Bunjaku family," the announcement says.

Bunjaku was one of the young and famous footballers in Kosovar football. During his career, he was part of several teams in Kosovo, while most recently he played for Elbasan in Albania.
