US-Israeli attack on Iran, France also gets into the "game"
Emmanuel Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that French forces shot down drones in self-defense in the early stages of the conflict with Iran, using fighter jets and air systems to stop aerial threats to French interests and allies in the region.

Macron warned that an Israeli ground attack on Lebanon would significantly escalate the conflict and would be a strategic mistake for the region.

He also announced that the first two flights to evacuate French citizens from the tense region will arrive in Paris tonight, as part of the French government's efforts to protect its citizens.

Macron also stated that France has deployed Rafale fighter jets, anti-aircraft systems and airborne radars in recent hours to block missiles and drones.

He also confirmed that Paris is sending the aircraft carrier "Charles de Gaulle", the flagship of the French navy, to the Mediterranean.

Macron stressed that France has defense agreements with Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Iraq, and that the country will show solidarity with its partners.

He also commented on the situation in Lebanon, where fighting between Hezbollah and Israel has resumed. Macron condemned the group's attack on Israel as a "grave mistake" and warned Israel against any ground invasion of northern Lebanon.
