Flag holidays, Albanians choose Turkey "to celebrate"

November 28 and 29 are National Holidays, but even this year, a significant number of Albanians have chosen to spend them abroad, a demand that grows every year. One of the main reasons that drives this trend is the affordable price, especially in the offers for the countries of the region, or the plane tickets booked individually earlier.

The requests to travel this year are attached to the desire of Albanians who in recent years have been more limited by the rules of the pandemic and have mostly moved within the country. Asked by "Monitor", the travel agencies claim that this year, Albanians have chosen to go mainly to some of the countries in the region, which had satisfactory offers, especially those as ski resorts.

From the "Union Travel" agency, they claim that the requests were mainly for destinations in Italian cities, but Istanbul also continues to be preferred. Some of the requests, according to them, were for cities such as Vienna, Amsterdam, Brussels, etc., for which the packages were comprehensive.

From the "Kalemi Travel" agency, they say that the offers for these holidays have been offered since the beginning of this month, mainly focused on the region. Prices start from 100 euros and the packages are interesting.

Representatives of "Matias Travel and Tour" tell "Monitor" that the bookings have been at satisfactory levels. This can be related to the fact that Albanians like to travel, and the official holidays are four. For destinations within the country, according to them, Korça tops the list. Unlike the past years where there was interest in northern cities, it seems that this year the heavy rains have dampened this desire.

From Iliria Travel they claim that the requests for trips have been satisfactory, but not at the previous levels, which had more 'hunger' for trips abroad. According to them, the economy is an important factor, but also the fact that they plan to travel mostly for the holidays.

According to the ATHS agency, although there were internal offers, even bookings in places like Korça, Voskopoja, Dardha, Pogradeci, etc., were at full capacity, however the region seems more competitive, especially with favorable price packages. The destinations with the best offers, again this year, were Budva and Istanbul.
