US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran would "like to talk" about reducing tensions in the Israel-Iran conflict.

Trump, speaking on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada, made the comment in response to a reporter's question about whether he had seen or heard "any signal or message from the mediator that Iran wants to de-escalate the conflict."

“They would like to talk, but they should have done it earlier,” Trump said. “But I would say that Iran is not winning this war. And they need to talk, and they need to talk right now before it’s too late.”

"We have always supported Israel. We have supported it strongly for a long period of time. And Israel is doing very well right now," Trump also said.
