Iran has asked Donald Trump through intermediaries to pressure Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Tehran, Reuters reports.
The news agency cited two Iranian and three regional sources who said Iran had asked Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to make the request to the US president.
Iran is willing to be flexible in nuclear talks if a ceasefire is reached, one of the Iranian sources said.
The development comes after sources told The Wall Street Journal that Iran has signaled it would be open to returning to the negotiating table if the US does not join the attacks.
Just moments ago, Israel reportedly struck a key military base on the outskirts of Tehran, which was hidden in underground tunnels.
