An unusual event happened in Sydney, Austria.

When Herbert Xia had to run some errands in this city, he didn't think twice and parked his car on a residential street. After 15 minutes of leaving it in the parking lot, Herbert was shocked by what he saw: A sofa had been thrown on top of his car, causing a lot of material damage to the vehicle.

"I have no words for this incident," said car owner Herbert Xia.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and suspect that the couch may have been thrown from the nearby balcony during a party.

"The sofa was thrown from a considerable height, it happened when people were coming home from work," said the chief inspector of the regional police, Gary Coffey.

Photos released show the wrecked car with the couch still on top
