Leonardo DiCaprio's denunciation of Amazon deforestation has not gone down well with Brazil's president, Jair Bolsonaro, who attacked the Hollywood star in a tweet.
More specifically, Leonardo DiCaprio tweeted: “How widespread deforestation is in the Amazon, one of the most important places on our planet for people and wildlife. According to the map, the area has suffered heavy and illegal deforestation in the last 3 years, by an extractive industry".
A few hours after his post, the Brazilian president continued with a very ironic post on Twitter, stressing that he cannot talk about saving the environment when he is traveling on a yacht.
“You again, Leo? This way you become my best "electoral message", as we say in Brazil. I would again tell you to leave your yacht before you learn the world, but I know you for progressives. You want to change the whole world, but not yourself, so I'm saying it," writes Jáir Bolsonaro.
