The Basic Court in Pristina found guilty and sentenced a person to imprisonment, on charges related to terrorism, more specifically for organizing and participating in terrorist groups.

Convict HS was sentenced to four years and eight months of imprisonment, only six months after he had returned to Kosovo.

According to the court, "on 23.11.2015, the accused, together with his wife and minor daughter, had traveled to the city of Istanbul, Turkey, through the international airport "Adem Jashari" in Pristina, and through certain connections had penetrated into Syria, in order to join the terrorist organization "ISIS".

In the decision of the Basic Court of Pristina, it is stated that the convict HS "was engaged as a member of "ISIS", as an administrator in the Bureau of Wounded Soldiers under the administration of "ISIS", he was financed by "ISIS" with the amount of of money from 100 US dollars per month, also cooperating with superiors and fighters of "ISIS", such as Lavdrim Muhaxheri, etc., which was then handed over to the Syrian Democratic Forces", the communiqué states.

During the last ten years, Kosovo has faced numerous cases of radicalism and several hundred of its citizens had become part of extremist organizations in the Syrian war.

Over 70 people have lost their lives, while hundreds have returned from Syria over the years.

Authorities in Kosovo believe that around 90 people are still in Syria, among them few fighters and more women and children.
