Five Cuban players escape, escape from the collection center in the USA

Five Cuban players have abandoned retirement and disappeared during the Gold Cup that is taking place in the USA. 

This is the incredible news, also reported by ESPN, regarding the team led by Pablo Sanchez. Goalkeeper Sanchez, midfielders Caballero, Sandò and Milanès and defender Herrera are missing.

It is nothing new. This year, 33 Cuban athletes of various disciplines did the same: they left the training camps, taking advantage of trips abroad. The reasons for these gestures are currently a mystery, even if something can be guessed and refers to political problems. 

The three midfielders belong to all the clubs that participate in the Cuban league, while the goalkeeper had a contract in Santo Domingo and therefore was not even a resident of Cuba. 

The 'Gold Cup' is a continental event for North America, the Caribbean and Central America. It is a tournament traditionally contested only between Mexico and the USA, with the Mexicans ahead 11 to 7. Third is Costa Rica, very distant, with 3 triumphs.
