Mexican Navy ship crashes into Brooklyn Bridge, killing 2, injuring 19 (VIDEO)

Two people have died and at least 19 others have been injured after a Mexican Navy training boat crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, the city's mayor said.

Eric Adams said the Cuauhtémoc lost power before the collision on Saturday evening. U.S. officials said 277 people were on board the ship.

Footage shows the giant masts of the Cuauhtémoc ship cutting through the bridge as the ship passed under the famous structure on Saturday evening.

Authorities said crew members were standing on the masts at the time of the collision, when they broke and fell to the deck.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on X that two people died and 19 were injured, including two in critical condition. There were a total of 277 people on board.
