The Feri Prosecutor's Office has issued security measures for 14 people (11 "house arrest" and three "ban on leaving the country") suspected of operating in the field of foreign exchange without the relevant licenses from the Bank of Albania.

The suspects are charged with the criminal offense of "Practising financial activities without a license."

In addition to the currency exchange points, there were also checks in the homes of the administrators of these entities where considerable amounts of money were found and seized, specifically;

– 4,461,000 lek;

– 92,390 euros;

– 8,215 British pounds;

– 220 Swiss francs;

– 30 Turkish liras;

– 45 dirhams.

Also, during the searches, other items suspected of being material evidence were seized, specifically: a sporting weapon, pistol type, with plastic barrels; an antique weapon, pistol type; an antique sharp tool, with a sheath; a sharp metal tool, with a wooden handle.

The Fier Prosecution Office is continuing its investigations with the aim of fully documenting the illegality related to the case, determining the role and responsibility of each person involved, as well as administering and evaluating all collected evidence.
