Albania is officially in an energy crisis, declared as early as November last year. The cause has been made, according to official reasoning and statements by Prime Minister Edi Rama is drought and low domestic production by hydropower plants and rising energy prices in international markets.

That's what's publicly said. But what happens unpublicly? Unpublicly the Albanian Energy Corporation, what the law recognizes the right to sell and purchase electricity, has sold electricity on 1 and 2 April... And not a lie.

KESH has sold 10,230 megawatts of power for 1 and 2 April through open tenders in three lots, which at an average price is about 115 euros megawatt. The first lot was sold for 130 euros, in the second lot the price of the prize was 157 euros and in the third lot about 100 euros.

The scandal is further deepened by the fact that the sale has not come due to the filling of the dam, as fierza's HEC today has about 260 meters, or 20 meters below the historical average at this time of year, which is about 280 meters.

And the scandal deepens further, as in another open tender, on 28 March KESH bought 11,000 megawatts of power for April 2 nd in 4 tears. In the first lot, the price of buying energy is 292 euros per megawatt, in the second lot 276 euros, the third 303 euros and the fourth 295 euros.
