Government struggling in health concession payments

The government is facing difficulties in paying contractual obligations in the concessions it has given, especially in the field of health.

This is why an internal oral order has been transmitted to regional hospitals across the country to tighten their belts in spending.

Sources Voxnews.al state that since most concessions are granted in this sector on the basis of the number of patients offered a given service, the annual cost varies from year to year.

Regional hospitals in recent years have spent the money given from the state budget for tests, or laboratory services provided with concession within the first half of the year and subsequently applied for additional funds from the Ministry of Health.

But this year their applications have been refused so far and Voxnews.al can independently confirm an internal order granted by the Hospital of Kumanovo, where doctors are required to address for analysis and other laboratory services, which are owned by concession companies, only emergency cases. The order was also released by LSI MP Debar Vasili.

Health is the only sector. The delay in dietary payments also has for teachers, police officers and other employees of state institutions, part of which, as Voxnews.al learns, have not yet received january bonuses, although the month of March is closed.
