"Prosecutor of the Meta family"/Mertiri reveals the scandal: Klodian Braho traveled with drug traffickers, the OFL file was closed!

The Special Prosecutor, Klodian Braho, is suspected of defrauding the vetting commissions through falsification of documents, hiding from his file contacts with people convicted and with criminal records.

The report was submitted to SPAK by Mirel Mërtiri. He accuses Braho of falsifying documents, falsifying forms and exerting illegal influence on persons exercising public functions.

The first two accusations are related to the suspicions that Klodian Braho has contacts with inappropriate persons, which violate one of the main criteria of the vetting, that of the integrity and purity of the image.

The inappropriate contact of the SPAK prosecutor, according to Mirel Mërtir's report, is the Albanian citizen, Bledar Gavelli, also known as Ervis Gavelli, born on May 7, 1982.

This citizen was convicted in Italy and investigated at least on two occasions in Albania, in 2016 for laundering proceeds of crime and in 2020 as part of the OFL operation.

The third charge of exercising illegal influence is related to the suspicions that Klodian Braho has unlocked Gavell's properties, which were seized during the "Forca e Lagiti" operation in March 2020.

Bledar Gavelli, according to the documentation submitted in the complaint file, it turns out that he was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison by the Italian authorities for criminal offenses in the field of narcotics. The arrest took place at the end of 2004. In 2008, which coincides with the end of the three-year prison sentence, Bledar Gavelli changed his name to Ervis Gavelli.

From the data of the TIMS system, copies of which are included in the report file, it results that on February 24, 2012, at the time that according to his CV, Klodjan Braho was prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Berat, traveled to Greece together with Ervis Gavell and two other citizens. The association of the prosecutor with the person with a criminal record was registered through the border point of Kakavija.

According to TIMS data, Braho was registered as the driver of the vehicle that crossed the border point, while passengers were Ervis (Bledar Gavelli), Sokol Myftari and Romir Cufe. In the report it is said that they stayed for two days in Greece at the "Blazer Suites" hotel in Athens. The return date was recorded on February 26, where the driver was Ervis Gavelli and Klodian Braho and the other two passengers.

In the statements made in the context of the vetting process, which Klodian Braho has been through since 2019, the entrances and exits and the journey with the same vehicle as Bledar Gavell are not reflected. Their reflection, according to the report, could lead to a different decision-making by these bodies for Klodjan Brahon.

The connection between the prosecutor Klodjan Braho and the drug convict is also strengthened by the suspicions that the latter influenced in 2020, when the properties of Bledar Gavelli and his brother, Leonat Gavelli, were seized as part of Operation Force of Law.

Leonat Gavelli has been convicted by the Italian authorities as the leader of a cocaine trafficking network from Colombia to the narcotics market in Switzerland and Italy.

A file on the Gavelli brothers and their Albanian associates came to Albania from the Italian authorities in 2007, where it was said that cocaine was obtained in Colombia by Leonat Gavelli, and then delivered to his brother and cousin in Italy, who then sold it also in Switzerland.

The OFL file for the justification of assets for the two brothers in August 2020 was referred to SPAK, where the assets were then unblocked on the grounds that they were justified by legal sources, despite the fact that it was about properties and income of hundreds of thousands of euros, while the two brothers end up with modest businesses, one as the owner of a bar in the village and the other as the owner of a few shares in a fashion store.

For this reason, the accuser Mirel Mërtiri raises doubts and asks SPAK to investigate whether the file on the assets of the two Gavelli brothers was closed under the illegal influence of the prosecutor Klodian Braho.

In addition to suspected connections with elements of the underworld, Klodian Braho, born in Skrapar, has been accused by the media of having connections with Ilir Meta and that the latter has sponsored his career in law through underground connections in this system.
