The greed for concrete has affected one of the most beautiful and touristic cities in Albania, the beautiful Saranda on the Ionian Sea, for years. Since the entire hill and the sea area of ??the city are filled with multi-storey buildings, built in different places, where surprisingly no institution has seen them, the government is now "thinking".
The National Council of Territory and Water, headed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, is not stopping this greed, but is only adding concrete. Even in water areas or on the coast. At a time when the government says that the seashore and the sea itself is public property, setting different distances, the same government is still giving permission without permission.
As is the case that VoxNews is currently covering, where the wonders in our country never stop. Our editorial staff denounced during the summer we just left behind that the government granted a permit to the former mayor of Vora for a 32-story tower in Saranda.
Now, the same government and the same Council approve another permit, this time adjacent to the waterfront in Saranda. But, if you also consider the rocks or the seashore as public property, of course the land where the building will be built is “public property”.

According to documents available to the VoxNews editorial team, the government has in recent months granted permission for "a residential and service structure with 1 and 6 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, perimeter wall, located on Butrinti Street, Saranda Municipality, with developer Ms. Blerina Sejko."
The document states that the land has sloping terrain. " The shape of the terrain comes as a continuation of the contour lines and natural terrain. For this reason, the property to be developed is positioned along the coastline. The property is located near the sea and has access from the main road on both sides ," the document states.

The document states that the terrain is steep. But if you look at the map, the construction site is clearly visible, almost in the water. The construction is not far from the Ionian Sea, there is no beach in front, while the entire plot will now be transformed into another construction.
"Due to its positioning along the coastline, as a service area, this area remains one of the most sought-after and attractive areas of the region. The total area of ??the property is 369 square meters. The buildings around this area are mainly sporadically built buildings with high floors, from 4 to 7 floors with a residential function," the document continues.

VoxNews browsed other KKTU documents, which state that the facade is conceived as a Mediterranean building with a mobility of balconies that make the building look like it is in motion. “The organization of the building is done in 2 typologies A and B, respectively divided into apartments and distributed over 5 floors,” the documents state.
According to her, the building is organized into second homes for tourism purposes. "On the ground floor of the building, we also have a restaurant that will serve the residents who live in this building but also various tourists who visit the city of Saranda throughout the year," the document continues.
It is learned that the surface area is 369 square meters, while the surface area of ??the land occupied by the footprint is 274. The total construction area above ground is 1478 meters, while in total, above and underground is 2018 square meters. The coefficient of land use for construction is 75% and the construction intensity is 4.01.
