False nationalization of dialysis, 50 million euro tender opens for the next 4 years (Allajbeu is getting ready)

At the end of last month, the Albanian government announced the nationalization of the dialysis service after the end of the 10-year concession.

Through a special decision, the Council of Ministers tasked the Integrated Sterilization Services Operator to provide not only dialysis, but also basic medical check-ups for the population, otherwise known as check-ups.

"The check-up and dialysis services will be taken over and provided by the state," declared Health Minister Evis Sala, immediately after the government meeting on July 30.

But the government has decided to subcontract the service again, this time for four years.  

The Integrated Sterilization Services Operator announced in the Public Procurement Agency's register of forecasts a tender worth 4.6 billion lek or about 49 million euros for the provision of dialysis services in five public hospitals, Shkodër, Lezhë, Korçë, Vlorë and Elbasan for a period of 4 years.

Through this procedure, the government is once again privatizing the dialysis service by choosing a private company, which will offer this service for the next 4 years, for 49 million euros./ kapitali.al
