The entire body of the State Police is facing a wave of resignations due to high pressure from superiors, low salaries and the lack of logistics necessary for the exercise of duty.

The resignations are suspended, to allow yourself the possibility of reinstatement if things change. Most of those who have submitted their resignations are considering emigration, others have left, or are considering leaving as private employees, mainly as members of physical security companies.

Policemen in Albania are the most underpaid in the region. A police officer in Albania receives an average of 560 euros per month. In Kosovo, the figure is around 700 euros, in North Macedonia around 710 euros, 750 euros in Montenegro and 900 euros in Serbia.

Salary is not the only factor that is pushing employees to resign. The great pressure from the management structures, which demand detailed statistics every week about the achievements, increased pressure after the appointment as General Director of Muhamet Rrumbullak has also increased the demands for suspension from office without salary. Voxnews.al learns that there are dozens of such cases.

This is the state of the State Police today. It used to be a dream for young people to become part of this troupe. Today, it seems like a nightmare to the young people who realized this dream, while there is no interest even from today's generation, as applications are counted on the fingers.

The reason why young people refuse to wear the uniform is also the lack of meritocracy, the nepotistic appointments and direct intervention of the minister Bledi Çuçi and other socialist deputies, at a time when the ranks remain blocked for a long time.

Publicly, the leaders of the police and the Ministry of the Interior try to present an optimal situation within the ranks of the blue uniforms, but not publicly the situation within this organization is in a deep crisis, perhaps the most serious since 1997, when it completely collapsed as a structure.
