Interior Minister Taulant Balla announced that the process of selecting the new head of the Police Supervision Agency has been completed.
Balla said that the selection process was open and 26 candidates were part of the competition. With the completion of the list of 5 final candidates, the minister announced that the name will be proposed to the prime minister.
"We have completed the process of selecting the new head of the Police Supervision Agency. As never before, it was an open process, 26 candidates competed and we arrived at a shortlist of 5 candidacies. I believe that we will conclude and I will propose the new leader to the Prime Minister and we will have another communication," said Balla.
Sources for Vox News indicate that the interior minister's favorite to be elected head of AMP is Florjan Sulejmani. He is the head of the section in the legal department in the State Police.
The final decision will be made by the Prime Minister, who is the person who appoints and dismisses the head of the AMP.
