The truth of Gladys Nano's (abandonment).
Interior Minister Bledi Çuçi and Police Director, Gladis Nano

A news with unverified sources, according to which the General Director of the State Police had resigned, spread rapidly this Monday through portals, so much so that the State Police itself was forced to come out with a refuting reaction. (READ HERE)

In fact, Gladis Nano mentioned her resignation this Monday, but she said it more in the context of the clash with Minister Bledi Çuçi, arguing that it was better to "resign than be a puppet in the position of General Director of the Police of State".

For this, Gladis Nano has also informed Prime Minister Edi Rama, communicating that 'either the minister should stay away from appointments, movements and other decision-making that are the exclusive competence and right of the State Police Director, or he would resign'.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is in Slovenia to participate in an international forum, refused his resignation and then communicated with the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, ordering the latter to convince Gladis Nano not to leave his post.

Pursuant to the order of the Prime Minister, Bledi Çuçi called Gladis Nano to the office and the meeting held at the Ministry of the Interior was accompanied by loud and harsh tones between them.

For months, Minister Bledi Çuçi has been seeking to control new appointments and movements in the ranks of the State Police. One of the appointments blocked by Çuçi is that of the Durrës Police Director, while the minister's clash is not only with Director Gladis Nano, but also with other senior leaders of the State Police.

Voxnews.al learns that Tonin Vocaj was also a victim of this collision. The latter has clashed directly with the minister, as the latter has stopped the arrest of a much-wanted person.

Vocaj wrote to Rama about this and then announced his resignation from the post he held.

But Nano's escape is not a shocking event for the government. Sources close to her inform Vox News that the Director's departure would account for him and some problems that the order has had recently, such as the Himara incident, or the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj.

At the moment, Gladis Nano still remains in charge of the State Police, despite the fierce clash with Minister Çuçi.

In a reaction to Report Tv Nano, he said: "I have not resigned and I have no intention of resigning from the position I have held since October."

Depending on the course of this conflict, the possibility of his resignation and the continuation of his career in an international anti-terror organization, in a position that is neither given nor paid by Albania, is not excluded, which means that there is no intervention of the Albanian authorities, as in the case of Bledi Çuçi.

The cold war between him and the minister is at its peak, let's see how far it will go...
